Hello there! My name is Isabel.
Growing up in the picturesque countryside of southern Germany, the colourful Bavarian culture certainly left a lasting impression on me. Food, as the focal point in every culture, has always been my passion, so I decided to persue a career in the food industry.
When I came to New Zealand in 2014, it didn’t take long until I started missing the abundance and variety of remarkable bread, rolls and pretzels that you find in Bavaria. I’ve discovered a handful of Auckland bakeries that sell some decent bread, but still not quite like at home. Eventually, I started growing my own sourdough and baking artisan bread myself.
